Honda Canada reports May sales

            TORONTO, June 2 /CNW/ - Honda Canada Inc. reported combined May sales of

15,624 units by its Honda and Acura divisions, a 17% decrease from record

sales in May 2008. The Honda Automobile Division reported May sales of 14,046

units, down 17% from last year's record sales. The Acura Division reported May

sales of 1,578 units, down 21% from last year.

            Now in its 40th year of operations in Canada, Honda Canada Inc. has sold

more than 3,200,000 Honda and Acura passenger cars and light-duty trucks.

Nearly half of all Honda and Acura vehicles sold in Canada in 2008 were made

in Canada - a higher percentage than any other vehicle manufacturer in Canada.
